Peter Camejo, Financial Advisor

Peter Camejo founded Progressive Asset Management Inc. (PAM) in 1987. Starting with seven employees in San Francisco PAM has grown into a network of 66 registered investment representatives in 23 states. PAM is the largest group of socially responsible investment professionals in the United States specializing in pro environmental and social justice investments.

In 1991 Peter helped Merrill Lynch launch the Eco-Logical Trust, the first environmentally screened investment offered by major firms in the United States. The Eco-Logical Trust became the second best financially performing UIT (Unit Investment Trust) at Merrill Lynch.

Having lived in the 1980s for a year in Nicaragua Peter helped turn that county into the world’s largest producer of organic sesame and also helped El Salvador farmer cooperatives develop their own import export firm.

Peter published a book in 2002 titled “The SRI Advantage -Why Socially Responsible Investments Have Outperformed Financially”. In 2006 he published a book on California, titled "California Under Corporate Rule." Both are available at the Camejo Group.

In the late 1990s he served for three years on the pension board for Contra Costa County as a member of the Board of Directors for the counties three billion dollar retirement fund. Peter helped Contra Costa County become the first pension fund in California to always vote their shares in defense of the environment, against child labor and in support of many other social issues.

Today Peter is serving for a second time as a Board of Director of Earth Share the coalition of some 400 environmental organizations. As a Latino he helped form the Environmental Justice Fund unifying various people of color environmental federations.

Today he is the chairman of the Board of Directors of Progressive Asset Management Inc. and heads up his own investment group, the Camejo Group.

 

Cathy Cartier, Financial Advisor/Office Manager

With Progressive Asset Management, Inc. since inception, Catherine has been office manager with The Camejo Group since 1999. She holds a General Securities and a General Principal registration. In addition she is Chief Operating Officer and Municipal Principal for Progressive Asset Management, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Directors.

 

 

 

Tim Rich, Financial Advisor

Tim Rich graduated from Cal State University at Hayward with a degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis on Finance. He has been managing accounts with the Camejo Group/Progressive Asset Management since 1997.

Tim currently holds his General Securities and Life Insurance licenses and is a Financial Advisor specializing in SRI portfolio management and retirement planning.

He is currently studying for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) credential. His goal is to broaden his investment experience with estate planning, tax planning and wealth management to give clients the tools necessary to help define their financial goals and assist them in making informed rather than emotional decisions to meet those goals.
